Robyn’s role at Rockmybaby® is as a Visiting Teacher in Auckland.
Robyn is a registered Early childhood Teacher with a Bachelor of Teaching (ECE) and Post Graduate Diploma in Education both with the University of Auckland. She has over 10 years experience as a Visiting Teacher, Centre Manager, Teacher and Nanny working alongside children from 0-5 years.
Robyn has extensive training in the Reggio Emilia approach after visiting Italy along with a study tour in Perth visiting Reggio Emilia inspired schools. Robyn also attended a small RIE study group with Polly Elam when she visited New Zealand along with numerous Dr Emmi Pikler inspired courses. Local educational leaders such as Nathan Wallis, Kimberly Crisp and Penny Brownlee also strongly inspire Robyn’s teaching practice.
Robyn’s teaching practice is based on positive and respectful relationships, encouraging resilience, exploring nature and nurturing children’s mind, body and soul. She believes children need supportive environments to learn in their own time and space with encouragement to challenge themselves.
Robyn is a wife and mother and loves the outdoors along with traveling our beautiful country Aotearoa and the world.
